Coming soon…Beyond Shiloh

I’ve promised many people I’d get Beyond Shiloh out before summer is over.  I am trying very hard to keep my promise.  The past three weeks have been quite productive.  I still have forty-three days to get the book finished.  Just as a little teaser, I have already gone over the first four chapters of the fourth volume of the saga.  I have even started outlining the last book in the series.  Neither of them have a title yet, but I pretty much have them planned out in my head.

I will share a couple of things about Beyond Shiloh with you as a way of pre-publication marketing.

Tag Line

“This land isn’t our home, darlin’.  Our faith, our love, and us together–always.                    That’s our Shiloh.”

What is a Tag Line? You know!!! It’s that short quote on the movie posters to entice people to go see the film…except its for reading a book.

A second enticement to read the next installment of my Shiloh Saga.  For those of you who’ve read the book already, I’d appreciate some previews.  I know there are at least five of you.  If you’ve read either of the earlier two books, it’s never too late for a review on Amazon for those two, either.  Thank you for helping me get my literary children known out there in the big world of independent publishing.

Pretty pleased with this one, too.  I am so blessed by all the wonderful encouragement I’ve received from y’all.  I never thought so many people would love my Arkansas stories.

Please write me a comment and give me some feedback.  It’s still not too late to make changes.

God is good…All the time.  All the time…God is good.

Writing has become my second career. Learning to put my stories in a format to be read, interacting with other writers, and seeing people enjoy my books make my days busy and purposeful. Blessed by God, I have a gift that allows me to follow a new path during my retirement.

  1. I am sitting on ready to read “Beyond Shiloh”. I have been telling everyone about your other two books. I shared them with my sister, Ina, on our vacation to the beach. She loved them, also. Those took awesome talent to write!! I have read a hundred books in the last two years and those rated right along with seasoned authors. So proud for you and I wish you much success.

  2. Hello, Patricia,

I remember us working on your blurb at the writers’ meeting. Now that I read it again, I wonder if it might make sense to reverse the order of paragraphs two and three. I.E.: In Laurel’s paragraph (which would be second), everything seems wonderful. But in Mac’s paragraph (#3), we are hit by the revelation that no matter how happy and content his wife is, this is not Mac’s dream. Just thinking. Anyway, good look with the whole thing. I do look forward to reading #3.

  3. Pat:

I love the Tag Line and the Cover Preview and the actual covers. The preview does a beautiful job of enticing the readers to read the story!!! Have finished the proofing and will mail it to you tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug 14) You should still be able to meet the deadline. There is a great story in Book #3—I am constantly in awe of your ability to put words on paper and make them into a beautiful story. I already have friends, whom I have given copies of the first two books, asking when they can get Book 3!!! I tell them that it will be worth the wait.

    One of your biggest fans,

    Brenda Davis Thakkar
